How to get involved in community safety

If you see something, say something.

We are all the eyes and ears of Silver Spring.  If you witness a suspicious incident or outright crime in Silver Spring, please call the MCPD non-emergency number ( 301-279-8000 ) or dial 911 if it is an emergency. If you are inside a business and see trouble, go to the business manager and call his/her attention to what you saw.

Subcribe to our email list and attend meetings.

Please attend our quarterly meetings with the 3rd Districe of the Montgomery County Police. Participate when we call an emergency meeting based on recent crime in Silver Spring.

Stay connected to your neighbors.

It really does take a village. Get to know your neighbors.  Welcome new neighbors too.  Get contact information for your neighbors so you can be in touch when there is suspicious activity in your neighborhood.

Like us on Facebook and check the page.

Using Facebook is the fastest way we can post news about crime or other community news.  Find us at https://www.facebook.com/SafeSilverSpring2.  Look at the page regularly.
